What makes the SmallRig VB50 battery worth consideration for a small, compact, portable battery bank?
It is a compact option that can power most of your electronics. The SmallRig VB50 batteries are designed for cameras, phones, and laptops, to name a few. Below are a couple of options depending on your needs.

V-Mount refers to how the battery attaches to a device, but don't worry; your device can be powered without a V-Mount attachment point by using many outputs such as USB C, D Tap, or Barrel connector.

  1. SmallRig VB50 Mini V-Mount Battery (50Wh):

    • Capacity: 50 watt-hours
    • Nominal Voltage: 14.8V
    • Draw Support: Up to 12A
    • Description: This ultra-compact and lightweight battery is perfect for on-the-go use. It provides extended runtime in a small form factor. USB C, USB A, D-port, and two 8/12volt outputs. This is one very versatile battery in a smaller, compact size.
  2. SmallRig VB99 Mini V-Mount Battery (99Wh):  (Larger and higher capacity battery) Useful with more power-demanding equipment.

    • Capacity: 99 watt-hours
    • Nominal Voltage: 14.8V
    • Draw Support: Up to 14A
    • Description: Another travel-friendly option, this battery offers higher capacity while maintaining portability. It is ideal for powering your gear during shoots and adventures.

Remember, these batteries are like the Swiss Army knives of power solutions—small, versatile, and ready to keep your devices running!

Charging: The batteries can be charged using a USB C cable that is NOT included, but given the fact most everyone has a USB C charger, this is not too much of an issue. Charge time from 75% to 100% using a 40-watt charger took just over two hours. Drain time from 100% to 75% running a Zoom F8 with two phantom-powered microphones was a little over 4 hours. The VB50 battery has enough capacity to ensure a full day of recording/charging of most electronics.
