I admit I have actually tried to "blow" the dust off my sensor using either my mouth or handheld blower only to discover I made matters worse.  You know, when you start focusing your lens/camera and you see signs of dust and you sigh! knowing trying to remove it in the field is a challenge and trying to do the post-processing will add unnecessary time to your workflow.

I too have used a lot of "things" to help keep the dust off the sensor, and out in the field in a grassy lot changing nosepieces, mounting and dismounting your gear will eventually lead to some dust on the sensor.

The Eyelead camera sensor cleaning kit is simple:  In the kit, you receive a sticky gel cleaning rod with the attached gel head and a few sheets of tacky paper to extend the life of the kit.   How it works is as easy as touching the gel head to the sensor a few times, the gel will lift the dust off without leaving a single smudge or mark on your sensor.

Before every day of my shooting sessions, I remove the front cover of my camera to expose the sensor and make a few dabs with the gel head, then and only then am I confident my day is good to go without specks of dust to worry about.

Keeping life frustration-free is worth the price of the kit of about $50.00, & it can clean all your sensors + any glass filters that may have dust on them.  For me, it is worth the price to remove that hassle of dust removal.  I own three DSLRs and 2 CCDs costing thousands of dollars, and I have never had any issues using these on my equipment. If you try the GEL method, you will soon understand what a blessing it is to have with you in the field.

Pros: Ease of use and very effective at dust removal - Top Notch!  Don't fight with the dust - lift it off your sensor!

Cons: A little pricey @ $50.00 for a single stick you may think otherwise and buy the swabs.

What would I improve on: I would like to see Eyelead include two wet swabs and a small portion of liquid cleaner for those of us who have smudged our sensors using some cloth - that way you start out with a sparkling clean sensor and can use the GEL head to keep it clean without ever touching it again with a cloth.

Things you need to know: While the Eyelead Camera Sensor Cleaning Kit works exceptionally well for dust and dirt particles - it does not and should not be used on oily, smeary smudges on your sensor - you should remove that first using the traditional wet method, then continue to keep the sensor clean with the Eyelead gel; Sometimes oil or smudges is a result of trying to clean the sensor the "OLD" fashion way with a blower and microfiber or worse you shirttail - you know who you are.  The Eyelead is a sticky GEL head that lifts dust/dirt off, and not a wet method for cleaning sensors with oil on them.  Thus if you are buying a kit I suggest you take time to wet clean your sensor first using a kit made for that purpose.  I keep a wet kit and use that once a year, and use the GEL system on a regular basis.
