When your out enjoying the weather, the smell of flowers, and the visual beauty of the budding trees you need a simple reliable, light camera system for capturing the moments. I highly recommend you keep it light and simple, Nikon makes a wonderful Nikkor 1 series which I enjoy for just this reason. For me I enjoy taking along my Nikon 1 V3 with a 6.7 –13mm, and 70-300 depending on my mood, or if you already have a DX with a small zoom that would be perfect as well for this time of year. I love walking along and capturing the beauty of the spring time in images for sharing with my friends. If you are really adventurous try a small macro setup such as a Nikon 60mm f2.8, this lens offers superior sharpness and can double for a standard lens + has the ability to get in close for super detailed flower images.
The best time is now to dust off that camera, charge your batteries, get out there and bring home a few simple photos of Spring to share with your friends. Regardless if you take one or a hundred photos, it is worth the effort to get out and enjoy….. see you out on the trail…
