Birds Ultimate Challange
Life is Good
TrueToad
Blessed are we who co-habitat our planet with the creatures who live among us. When creatures no longer flourish humanity will cease to flourish and we will become void of morals, values, and worth. Sacred are they and the environment for which we depend.
The larger Red Bellied Woodpecker flew in on top of the smaller woodpecker forcing him off to another tree. I only had a chance to fire off two shots of the Red Bellied before he took off, but the other Woodpecker was still in the area. I adjusted my spot and was happy to see the little fellow again about 200 feet going up a tree. If you ever had an opportunity to shoot Woodpeckers you know they have this nasty habit of staying on the "other side" of the tree or behind branches, blocking a good view - making your job more challenging.
It was all well worth the effort, cold, wind and all. Getting one photo makes it all worthwhile.
